When we were in Memphis last month, my sister informed me I’d missed my calling as a Disney Princess.
Not because I lead an actual princess life, oh no, but because I know the words to probably every Disney song known to man these days.
Lady A is OBSESSED. And as someone who has adored music her entire life, I totally get it.
So every day as we drive around, play and run errands, we listen to her favorite Disney songs. Which, of course, include “Colors of the Wind,” “Hakuna Matata” and “Let It Go.” Because you can’t have a toddler sing-along without Frozen.
^^ Actual fact, folks.
But some days, being an unofficial Disney princess can get tiring.
Some days, you’re moved to tears for no other reason than you don’t want to deal with the drama of being an adult.
Some days, you require an alcoholic beverage before 3 o’clock.
For lack of better words, I was having a no good, awful, bad day and spent a portion of it crying in my office.
Not one of my finest moments. But hey, I like to believe this happens to all of us at some point or another. (And let’s be real: This time, the breakdown didn’t happen with me sprawled out on the bathroom floor, so it could have been a lot worse. #realtalk)
My crown was crooked. My heart was heavy. And I was tired.
So freaking tired.
And in came this Blackberry Ginger White Wine Slush to brighten the day!
The beautiful thing about this wine slush is there are just THREE ingredients.
Fresh (or frozen) blackberries.
Crisp, light white wine.
And ginger ale.
Nothing more, nothing less.
And this Blackberry Ginger White Wine Slush? Well, it makes for a fabulous, easy pick-me-up!
