Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders, also known as Ham Goo Sandwiches, make an out-of-this-world party appetizer, lunch or even dinner. These bite-sized sandwiches feature slices of ham, cheese and a decadent onion-poppyseed dressing. Make a batch for any occasion!

Ingredients
1 ½lbs.sliced ham
8oz.Swiss cheesethinly sliced
2tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
4tablespoonsunsalted butter
1small yellow onionchopped (about ¾ cup when chopped)
1 ½teaspoonspoppyseeds
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
1tablespoongrainy mustardor Dijon mustard
12Hawaiian rollswheat or regular
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and set aside.
Measure the olive oil and butter into a saucepan. Warm over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the chopped onion. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Then stir in the poppyseeds, Worcestershire and mustard and remove from the heat to let cool while you assemble the slideres.
Cut the rolls in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
Layer the ham slices on top of the rolls, then top with the Swiss cheese.
Pour half of the onion sauce directly on top of the cheese, then place the roll tops on top. Pour the rest of the sauce on top of the rolls.
Cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
Remove the foil, and bake for about 10-15 minutes more minutes, or until the tops are slightly brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes
You can use leftover holiday ham or get sliced ham from the deli at your local grocery store. How to store: Store cooled leftovers in an airtight storage container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the microwave or toaster oven until warmed through.
